Removable Hard Disk Options

Need to secure classified or confidential data? Order the “Hot Swappable” removable disk. Visidaq allows data recording to a second disk while the system software remains on the first. It’s also useful for transporting large data volumes to other computers without waiting for backups.

Multiple DAQ Systems in One

The Visidaq system can simultaneously operate up to four separate 64 channel ADC boards with up to four independent users logged in locally and/or from remote workstations or PCs.

IRIG Time Code Synchronization

In facilities where time acquired from GPS satellites is distributed in IRIG format, the Visidaq system can precisely synchronize data acquisition samples to the external time reference. The IRIG translator can decode IRIG A, IRIG B and NASA 36 time code inputs.

Enterprise Wide Access with Remote Login and Displays

Are your test cells located several buildings away from your office? Does it take a lot of time and energy to go get data from the test cell? Visidaq systems provide remote data access, via the local area network, from laptops and PCs (with Linux® or Exceed ® X Windows emulator) or engineering workstations and terminals with X Windows. You can obtain playback data displays and even operate real-time test runs remotely.

Dual Boot - The Best of Both Worlds

Can’t decide which operating system to choose? Now you don’t have to! This Visidaq® system can run multiple operating systems. The system is shipped with the Linux® OS as standard. Microsoft® Windows® OSs are available as an option to run all your Windows compatible software applications. The ultimate benefit is that Visidaq’s software can write files directly into the Windows partition so you can access data files with programs such as Excel ® and Word ®. Fast system bootups make transition between OSs quick!

Input Accessories

A variety of rack mountable connection panels are available for interfacing sensor signals to the Visidaq system. Choices are: 16 or 64 input Screw Terminal Panels, 16 or 64 input BNC Connection Panels, 5B/7B Signal Conditioning Connection Panels and Thermocouple Input Racks.

Signal Conditioner Control Port

Control external programmable signal conditioning units via
Visidaq’s RS-232 serial port. Visidaq software provides control menus that send commands manually or automatically and store signal conditioner settings in the user’s parameter files. Instantly reconfigure your signal conditioner unit when test parameters change.

Flexible Analog to Digital Converter Options

Visidaq systems use data acquisition cards that are optimized for both DC and AC measurements. Using only the highest grade components with low noise and distortion, the boards approach the very edge of theoretical limit for the maximum effective number of bits (ENOBs). Available ADC boards have 4, 8, 16 and 64 channels with 12 or 16 bits of resolution. Each channel has programmable gain settings. Aggregate sample speeds start at a board maximum of 50 kHz and exceed 1 mHz. Simultaneous Sampling is also available.
